Training and Qualifications

QLDC is committed to your ongoing training and development. QLDC will provide employees with access to well researched and high quality internal and external training and development opportunities. Each department will develop (through the completion of Performance Agreements) annual education, training, and development plans to meet employee and organisational objectives and budgets.

Health and Safety

QLDC is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health which is appropriate to the specific nature of the safety risks to which workers and others could be exposed. We are committed to continuous improvement to ensure that all our activities take place under a balanced allocation of organisational resources aimed at achieving the highest level of safety performance.

We believe in an inclusive culture of safety that encourages and supports participation and where everyone feels free to speak up about non-conformances, undesirable or unsafe situations or any other safety related issue. Whilst management have the ultimate responsibility, it is everyone's primary duty to identify hazards, assess risks and take action to ensure we all share a safe and healthy workplace.
