Our hazards fall into several main groupings – wellbeing, stress and fatigue; sickness, risk of physical harm (everything from slips/trips/falls to executing search warrants); working off-site; gradual process injuries; natural disaster and fire evacuations; physical hazards (e.g. stairs, knives, water on floor etc); social functions/alcohol on-site; travel.

We have processes to regularly identify hazards, and review our hazard register and mitigating controls on an annual basis. For each hazard there is a control identified to try to eliminate or minimise the potential hazard and risk of harm.

We have a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Committee which is made up of volunteers across the organisation and we meet every 8 weeks to discuss HS&W matters. Regular HS&W reporting is provided to ExCo, Board and our Audit and Risk Committee to ensure HS&W is being appropriately managed at the FMA.
